British developer Core Gaming has launched its new Pan For Gold instant-win scratchcard game less than two weeks after signing a content deal with Storm Games.

Solihull-based Core Gaming declared that the Wild West-themed Pan For Gold, which is currently available at Sky Vegas, utilises HTML5 technology and offers a top jackpot of £25,000 ($37,643).

Each £2 ($3) Pan For Gold card offers players the chance to dunk a virtual sifting pan three times into one of six locations on a map in the hope of unearthing a prize. Mobile gamers are prompted to shake or swipe their device while desktop participants click and drag their mouse to possibly reveal golden nuggets, precious gems or unwanted silts.

Core Gaming declared that players gathering three of the same gems during their dunks will walk away with a ‘corresponding win’ that encompasses £2 for turquoise gems all the way up to £25,000 for pearls.

In addition, the game transports any gold nuggets that may be collected into a separate pot for use later. Players that purchase additional cards before managing to amass eight nuggets can enter the Bank Bonus feature where a potential cash prize worth up to £25,000 awaits.

“This game has truly been a team effort,” said Kev Short, Head of Production for Core Gaming.

“The initial thought process of using the device to enhance the player experience of a game was developed as part of [our] ongoing research and development programme designed to keep [us] at the forefront of mobile gaming technology. Using all our in-house expertise, the development team has done an outstanding job to deliver this creative and ultimately fun gaming experience.”
